We have had a wonderful and productive week.
In math we have continued to work with addition and subtraction with regrouping. The children are learning to exchange ten ones for a ten rod. They really seem to be understanding this concept and progress has been made. In ELA we are working on opinion writing, and the students wrote a delightful piece on their worst vegetable. These were very entertaining. In reading they have been discovering the joy of multi-meaning words and have had fun playing with these in sentences. Science has been wonderful as we have been discovering that light travels in a straight line. The children have experimented with flashlights and have had fun making shadow puppets. Next Tuesday is Valentine's Day and we will be doing a Valentine's Day exchange during the last 15 minutes of the day. Please feel free to share the love on this special holiday.
