October is always fun. Fall arrives, with the touch of cool air and the month closes with Halloween. The students returned from the fall break refreshed and ready to learn.
This month, In math we learned about friends of tens and missing addends. We also continued learning about addition, subtraction and number groups. For reading, we explored how to identify the main idea and supporting details in a story The month ended with Halloween. We had a visitor come in and carve a pumpkin for us. We had fun pulling out the pumpkin guts and describing how it felt. Many of the students also enjoyed the Fall Festival and had a great time with the booths and activities. Thanks to all the parents who came in for the parent/teacher conferences. Hopefully, those were helpful for everyone. Thank you to all the moms who helped make Halloween special for the children. UPCOMING... School is closed on Election Day, Tuesday, November 8. Thanksgiving break is from November 21 to 25. School will be closed on these days.
